    • Researching your family tree? The Tennessee Valley Genealogical Society announces the annual Spring Seminar on Friday and Saturday, March 19 and 20, 2010. The speaker will be J. Mark Lowe, professional genealogist, author, and teacher. On Friday March 19 from 7 pm to 9 pm, the workshop will be at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Bankhead Parkway. On Saturday, March 20 the seminar will be held from 9 am to 3:30 pm at the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library Auditorium. The fee is $40.00 for both sessions, including lunch on Saturday. For more information, contact (256) 881-2699 or e-mail wrmixon@comcast.net. This is a great way for beginning or veteran genealogists to get research help and hints. You do not have to be a member of TVGS to participate.

      Kisses is this week's Huntsville Animal Service's "Dog of the Week." Kisses is a female Jack Russell terrier. She is about two years old and as sweet as she can be. She gets along great with other dogs. Kisses is just looking for a home of her own. Won't you come down to the Shelter on Triana Blvd. and meet this sweet girl? She's waiting for you!
      Bob is the "Cat of the Week" this week for Huntsville Animal Services. Bob is a young 8 year old cat who loves to cuddle. Bob gets along well with other cats. He is just looking for a spot in your home and will be forever grateful for a little bit of loving, some petting and a little attention. Is there room in your room for Bob? He's hoping there is!
